How long??

How long does it take to build a truck once the build process starts? Waiting for my megacab. Hoping the incentives are still around when it shows-up. The dealer would not lock in the incentives when I ordered.

usually 4-6 weeks depending on the demand for ordered trucks at the time.

I ordered my Mega 12/29 - they're wrappin' 'er up now and will ship Monday 1/28. the dealer, Dave Smith, gave me the new January incentive even though it was only 12/29.

It took 2.5 months for mine. It was actually finished in 5 weeks but sat in the railyard in Mexico for a month. As far as any incentives, the dealer, ( including Dave Smith ) gives what ever incentives are on when the truck hits the ground at the dealership. I bought mine through Dave Smith and they did a great job at a very fair price.

Ordered my quadcab in December and am waiting for it to show up. The dealer has told me that he has the vin. #. What are the latest incentives that are available just in case they are higher than last year. Thanks,Bill

Once the order is placed and arrives in the the build sequence, it only takes a matter of hours to build up your vehicle. The length of time for it to hit the dealers lot depends on the number of orders ahead or yours and the dealer shipping allotment. Stay strong, it is worth the wait.

Is he ripping you off? Why wouldn't he hold the incentives? Dodge locks them in I was told and I was given the benefit if they went up which they did.......

I ordered in late Oct and got mine right after Thanksgiving.\\

My understanding is you get whatever the incentives are at the time you take delivery, may be more or less than when the unit was ordered.

Well, checked on the truck today and got the vin. The truck is at the railhead in Amarillo. The dealership told me they would give me incentives that are out today $4500. If they go up next week I would get that. The dealership wouldn't give me the interest rate that is currently being offered. Will have to wait until the papers are signed. Next week looks like a good week!!!!!

I don't think you have anything to worry about Tex. Here's a screenshot from Dodge's web site. I locked into my incentives, but it seems like it does not matter. Those incentives are here till the end of the month anyway... I have been doing a lot of research on the production lead times, and although things can change instantly, I'm seeing 5 to 6 weeks. The big difference will be where you are in relation to the rail system. Once production starts, I guess it only takes ~48 hours to turn out a truck.

Go to the dodge site and print out the "details" on the laramie mega. They have to honor what they advertise.
