Question How difficult to remove injectors from a 6.7l?

How difficult is it to remove and reinstall injectors on a 2008? I have never touched one of the engine....I did an injectors swap on my old '93 First Gen but I hear these things are completely different! The '93 was a piece of cake.

Reason for needing to do this is to spin a motor over that has possibly injested water (flood). I imagine there is no other way of verifying there no water in the cylinders besides popping the injectors and spinning the motor over?

not too bad. its a bit more work though. most important thing is that you keep them in order and that they go back into the same cylinder they came from

Yeah, I read about the necessity of reinstalling them in the same cylinders where they were removed.

Are any special tools needed?

Injectors are coded and if changed will require inputing correct code into PCM. This is a calibration code for every injector and tells computer exactly how much fuel is coming out of injector. If not entered will effect engine operation and will set a DTC.
