I'd probably look at the lemon law. If I remember correct, needs to be a recurring problem that they cannot fix. I know a couple of guys on the site are currently working through the lemon law process right now.

Just make sure they are documenting it correctly. Documentation can support/hurt your case, so pay close attention to what they are writing up as it will be critical in your quest to have the truck lemon lawed.

Just be prepared for a rough road to lemonhood. Definitely do as he says and keep a good papertrail. PM ratlratl and he can get into the Dodge system and pull up your service history for you and send it to you. Every trip you made should be in there. Of course, you will need your VIN number in order for him to do this for you...

Lemon question.

If Dodge buys your truck back,do they refund the sales tax if applicable in your state? Perhaps they don't charge you again on the next truck? How does that work? It's a lot of money here in Ca.

I just looked at a buy back (lemon) truck today. The disclosure statement said they had changed the air filter and fuel filter, cleaned the sensors and cleaned the turbo. Why would they clean the turbo?
The truck was set up just the way I wanted but also could see a dent on the lower edge of the front bumper and a smashed ac tube there also. There was a new set of tires on the truck but a mud tire for the spare. I looked under it some more and there was mud and grass hanging in several places not to mention the new paint on everything to hid the rust and damage would be my guess. For a truck with 44k it had been abused and then bought back and sent to another dealer to be sold as good used truck.

I had my 07 mega cab baught back. Follow the lemon law instuctions in the little lemon law book you got when you did your purchasing. Be patient. I heard all kind of horror stories about buy backs. The only down side I had was trying to find a new truck. One after another were sold while I was waiting for Dodge to get off their butts and send the paper work and make the phone calls to purchase the truck from the dealer how had the truck I wanted. The whole thing from the day I sent the paper work in till I was in the new truck was about 8 weeks. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just returned my 07 6.7 due to chronic problems. Key is patience on your part, but before hand make sure you have all of your documentation in order - and I mean all of it. Being a documentation pack rat is an advantage if you have to go this route.

Dal-Chrysler bought back my 2006 Jeep Liberty Diesel CRD earlier this year. What PITA but I got all of my money back, taxes etc etc etc. I went and got a lawyer and had him deal with it. Jeep had to pay for my lawyer as well since I won the case. Document everything. I even took a video of my Jeep running (Barely) floored at 15 mph. The fix was simple as it had a hairline crack where the fuel filter attatched. They couldn't find it even after I showed them so I pursued getting it Lemoned. They wanted to go to court until they heard I had a video

I had my 04.5 2500 returned under the lemon law ,Dealership could not fix the problem I gave them like 10 tries at it its a long process you need to speak to an attorney there are deals that can be made, but patients is the key took me about a year i made a deal out of court got back what i had into it.I had to pay my own attorney fees though.

Please keep us posted on how it's going
I will keep my eyes on this.

I'm currently waiting for my problem to come up again for the 5th time after that I think I will be going after the lemon law too.

My dealer tells me to drive the hell out of my truck, drive long distances of 55mph for 30 mins, do not idle, try to avoid intown driving.

IMO I think it has little to do with the 6.7 motor if the 5.9 had the same emissions on it it would have the same problems?
