Gauges - 2007 6.7 w 6 sp auto
Gauges - 2007 6.7 w 6 sp auto
I have a 2007 with the 6.7 and 6 speed auto on order.
I am looking at installing analog gauges - boost, egt and trans temperature.
Any other gauges that should be considered?
Given all of the new electronics / emissions equipment are there any issues, difficulties or other considerations to the choice of gauges or the installation?
What gauges and models go best with the 2007 stock gauges?
Thanks,
George

Nope, the overhead does not monitor any of the above stuff he is asking for.
For transmission temperature you will need to get a special adapter as the test ports are smaller than the old 48RE. The 2 test ports are on the passenger side and in between the cooler lines.
The EGT, is a little tougher to drill and you will want to remove part of the crank case vent to drill and tap.
The boost gauge will work great using a "boost bolt". You will need at least a 40psi gauge for a stock truck. The truck will spike to the mid 30's and settle in between 24-27psi.
There are no issues with gauges and we will actually have our manual online for the 6.7 later this week.
The interior of the 07 trucks is the same as all the 3rd gen trucks so if you want analog I think most people think either the Isspro or the Dipricol match best.
