Fuel milage 6.7 L. ?

07 6.7 4x4 4door LWB
I am seeing 14.5 city and got 19.2 on first road trip to NM from Tucson with the cruise set at 78. I have a total of 1800 miles on truck tokk delivery 3-22.
Have not been able utilize the engine brake to it fullest extent but will the weekend pulling about 12,000 lb load.

I m in the process of buying an 07 6.7 l 3500 4x4 Megacab for the wife two questions
1) - What fuel milage # s are people seeing - Real #s
2) - Are the problems with the 6.7 L worked out ? and dont say there were not problems - my dealer in alberta - had to take back an 07 6.7 cab & chas. truck do to problems they - dealer - dc could not fix.

Mind you , that's only in town so far, not even 100 clicks on it.
Considering my Voyageur gulped ~ >12 ltrs ...
2)Truck is just grrrreat ...
Ahhm, re .extended warranty : apparently on the 16th of this month , the bumper to bumper warranty gets bumped up CAN $1400 in price so it would run ~ CAN $ 4.800. Yikes.( I actually saw the note from DaimlerChrysler to the dealer)
So to get me an extra 4 years of peace of mind ( year 4/5/6/+7) I have to come up with , and fork over ~ CAN $3.400 in the next few days .. Yikes again..

I am still waiting for someone to tell me what the problem supposedly was on those two trucks that supposedly couldn't be fixed. I really have to wonder when someone just pops up a problem but never gives any specifics.

I will find out tomorrow - the dealer here still has the truck.
Alright was at the dealer today - they have had a few techs out to try to get the truck to run right, according to the salesman - they have tried 3 different computors -( his words ) in it and still cant get it to run right, a welder owned it for a short time before the dealer took it back - he took a 5.9 L. as he needs a reliable truck. The truck will only get 3 mpg & wont run right.
They have another tech comming out this week to trouble shoot the 6.7 L.
I suggested that maybe it had the old fuel ( non ulsd)- mabe plugged the DPF. But im sure they would have checked that.
On a differant note - I test drove another 07 6.7 L. megacab 3500 4x4 - drove it on the hwy for 25 miles the overhead showed 19.6 - 20.1 MPG @ 100 km/hr average thats the highest mpg reading of any cummins I have personally drove ! Im impressed if thats right or even close.

I have the 373 gears with the 68rfe. as a side note my 2500 came with the 11.5 rearend (1 ton) instead of the 10.5 the 2500 normally comes with. The dealer was not able to explain why but thought it could be cause of the extra tourqe the 6.7 is putting out. I showed 13.2 mpg pulling the backhoe this last weekend in some hilly country and the engine brake was a plus.

they all come with the 11.5, even my 03 has a 11.5. The only difference between a 2500 and 3500 is a spring leaf. and about 350 - 500 dollars.
Red ram,, just so you know, the gallons that are computed in the overhead are us gallons, much smaller than our imperial gallons, so it puts the overhead out of whack if you try to read the MPG.
The MPG that you guys are getting is IMO very good for trucks with only 1000 to 10000 miles on them, they usually will get better around 15k or so. I have a duramax besides my 03, and I am getting 13mpg, and that is pussyfooting it

It's looking like the 6.7's aren't the fuel hogs you would think with bigger displacement and about everything ever done for emissions on it.

The Dealer is now telling me that these trucks ARE NOT TO DRIVEN LIGHTLY ..they are NO GOOD for short trips at all. My 2007 has 3500 miles on it and this is my 3rd time back to the dealership to get it de-sooted...reflashed and who knows what. If your going to work a truck hard THIS IS A GOOD TRUCK ENGINE. THIS IS NOT A LIGHT DUTY TRUCK!!! I wish I never traded my 5.9 in.
