flame out tail pipe

hey guys a friend of mine has a new 6.7 and was telling me that his truck has a 2' flame out the tail pipe now and then and it freaks him out

is this something anyone has seen?

I havent heard of the Cummins doing that, but since they are required to have the same emissions controls in the exhaust as the PSD, I wouldnt be as suprised as some.
I would like to see it on video though.

Yes I have heard of this.(From the dealer)

It needes to be reflashed at the Dealer they had that problem with some of their trucks(early programing) and can be fixed in a quick Reflash!
