On my 07, the exhaust brake seems to engage on it own, even if you're on the throttle. I'm almost sure it's the exhaust brake engaging because I can hear it and it puts a load on the truck. Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

 

I think there was a flash that may cure that, not sure as I have never had mine flashed, and didnt keep up with them.

You running anything other than that MP8 on it???

 

Just the MP 8. May try the smarty junior ME to make breathe better. It has 98000 and the brake just started acting up.

 

I would think that its also possible that the slider nozzle being gunked up that might be holding it partially open. I would turn it on and give it a good hard run and and see if that helps.

The Smarty and deletes are always a good option

 

That is a warning that the turbo is hanging up and will require some cleaning/repair. There may also be an electronic glitch with the actuator.
