Exhaust brake ?
that is interesting. I pull a 32ft gooseneck LQ horse trailer and love using it on poor road conditions. It shuts the whole rig down much better on ice/sloppy roads than the truck and trailer brakes do. Just my 2 cents.
thanks for the info.

Its been reported to help reduce the soot buildup in the sliding nozzle of the turbo. Over time the soot collects on the nozzle ring and it starts to bind. This throws a code eventually and they have to drill the turbo center section for a hole to clean the turbo and plug it.
It seems after time, all the VGT turbos need to be cleaned weather you have the DPF/EGR deletes or not or if you use the EB on a continual basis. This appears to be a service item that will eventually have to be done to every turbo.

I was just on the phone with a good friend that shuttles RV's between the US and Canada. Has about 160ish K miles on his truck and all it does is haul. Uses the EB all the time of course and just recently had to get the turbo "fixed". I would think this would be one not to worry about, but it seems not the case. Oh and this rig also is not emissions friendly, so that doesn't come into play.
