Engine Oil
So what does that have to do with the OP asking about the Amsoil CJ-4 in the 6.7? I thought you ran Amsoil in the 6.7 and had oil analysis from that??? Am I confused??

Started running Amsoil fluids and bypass filter all the way - oil, trans, diffs, at 2k miles. Immediately picked up 1.6 hand-calculated, same exact route mpg over 10 tanks. Sent sample at 10k, told no change needed, send again at 20k. Very pleased thus far.
Wow 2K miles is very early to run synthetic... Cummins states not to run it earlier than 5K, and to start it anywhere from 5K-20K based on use/break-in... Thats even early by Amsoil standards.
I purchased the fs-2500 after much research and thought. The fs-2500 in my opinion came out to be a better overall product mainly in construction and the people I, I repeat I, would be dealing with. It does take an extra quart and a half. I started researching synthetics when I bought my 02 duramax new, Schaeffer's fit me better. So I don't bang the amsoil drum. I switched the engine to Schaeffer's 5w-40 supreme 9000 at 15,000 miles. Then at 30,000 miles I switched the differentials and the transfercase. I am still undecided about switching the tranny away from mopar. Any tranny that I have ever had anything done to it eventually failed for some reason or another. I will state that I drove gm pickups for years so it prolly was ineviteble.
141k miles on the clock.
