Easy deletes?
Easy deletes? Am I missing anything important?
Looking at a mega-cab (we sat in one and now my wife LOVES the rear room).
5.9 or 6.7? I like the exhaust brake. I like the 6-speed auto. I don't like the emissions stuff and bad mileage. So, if I am reading correctly (and only do off-road driving
of course), unplugging my EGR and getting an exhaust with DPF delete will get me back the mileage of the 5.9 right? What am I missing? I read some about grinding downpipes, foolers, etc...
This truck will be used easy as a baby-hauler and out of town cruiser...not used daily and hard..I don't want to worry about soot building up, driving 45 minutes in 4th gear, etc to clear out any residue.
Thanks for the insight...

You got it!
Now I have all the benefits of my 04.5 5.9L (mileage) with all the benefits of the 08 6.7L (6speed auto, more stock power, turbo brake)
Although the stock HP of the 08 is suppose to be 350... It really seems like more with that tranny putting the power to the ground so smoothly >> Now without the DPF, Cat's, and EGR it seems to be closer to 400HP even without a programmer.
I am really happy I took the leap into the 6.7L
Good luck

My truck now gets much better mileage that my 07 5.9 6-speed manual ever got...
I don't think we're as high as 400hp with the deletes but it sure isn't hurting any. I think a member here just put down around 318rwhp with the deletes on his truck...
Make sure your wife is OK with looking at the CEL all the time...

Not for sure, though. I could be wrong. Best of luck on your future purchase!!!
