Does anyone know how to get it to work while going down the road?

 

Not sure exactly what you mean?

 

I know mine is virtually impossible to reach because the remote has to be pointed at the sensor on the overhead unit so my wife has to operate it when we are driving. Unfortunately you can't point the remote at the head unit like we can in our Town & Country..

 

I'm asking the question for a friend that has a 2011 with Nav/DVD and he wants to be able to play a DVD for his wife I guess going down the road. He said once it's in gear, the DVD will turn off...

 

That's weird unless it's an in-dash player in which case it's illegal in many states for the driver to be able to watch a video screen while driving. If that's not the case then he needs to contact Dodge to find out what's up. Has he looked in his owner's manual?
