Down shifting hard when coming to a stop?

My truck has been down shifting hard like a jerk when it comes to a stop but only soom times. I took it to the dealer today and he said its the throddle presure causing it to shift which is normal on these trucks with the 68RFE. There was a note from a class that the tech went to that says it is normal but the tech can not find the note now. Does this sound like a bunch of bull to you guys also or is soneone else noticed this? I think I'll let another dealer take a look at the problem and see what he says. Thanks

If you have the tow/haul on it will definitely "jerk" while downshifting - normal. The faster you come down the harder it will jerk. Smoother operation without tow/haul & exh. brake OFF.

My truck will do the same thing when in tow haul mode, downshifts pretty hard I wouldn't call it a jerk but it is what you want in a heavy duty transmission when you are in a heavy performance mode like tow haul they are eliminating any type of slipping. I am very impressed with the performance of my truck so far. This coming from a die hard Ford man for 20 years, then tried a Duramax and hated it now have a 07 3500 6.7 Cummins 6spd auto Laramie Mega cab and love it.

Sounds like Dodge got it right with the 68rfe. This is not a grocery getter. It is meant to haul or pull. Not tool around town. This would be great for hauling my horse trailer. It will be a while before that happens. I only have 38,000 miles on my current beast.
