charging question

yesterday i left my lights on, middle of the day. i really dont even remember turning them on, but they were on when i got back in my truck after a few hours. when i started it, she cranked fine & fired right up. but, the little light with lightning bolt stayed on for awhile. figured the alternator just needed to charge the batteries. went down the road 100 miles or so, stopped, went to the rest room, stretched etc, and when i fired her up the light went out after start up like normal. all was well after that on the trip home, several shut doens & start ups. got into town, visited with the folks for an hour or so, & when i started her up, the light came on & stayed on the 6 miles to the house. no lights were left on & no accessories plugged in or on. Are my batts fried? alternator shot? the over head display says systems ok. will my smarty jr tell me different when i scan it tomorrow?
thanks,
kerry

Hmmm. I think I remember that light having something to do with the wireless throttle... I've heard that if you touch the throttle and the brake at the same time, sometimes, it causes it to come on. Could also have something to do with the low batteries. Even though it came on again, did it go back out or have you not driven it much since?

I had this happen to me once before a long time ago, before Smarty. Not seen it since. Yes, probably just a minor fluke.
