Can't figure out what gear ratio I have

Got a new 2007 a couple of weeks ago. It is a 2500 Mega Cab, 2WD, SLT, 6.7.

Looked everywhere and can't find any documentation that shows what gear ratio is in the differential. Looked in the door jams, glove box, dealer invoice, window sticker, on the differential for the metal tag, etc. Still no luck.

I can tell you that on the freeway cruising at 75 mph I'm still below 2,000 RPM on the tach.

Any ideas?

If you had the 410 option it would be stated on your window sticker as , I believe a 50$ option. The 07's only had two available ratios, the 410's and the 373's .The standard ratio is the 373's. I hope this helps.

If your below 2000 RPM at 75 you probably have the 3.73 but I can't garantee it.

Very cool. I don't have the VIN on me, but I'll send it to you when I get home.

BTW, it burns rubber just fine, maybe too easily. LOL

An auto trans with 4:10's will still be just under 2k r.p.m.'s @ 75 m.p.h. like 1,950 or so. The 3:70 gears would be a lot lower r.p.m.'s I guess.

the only rear gear available for 07.5 with manual trans was 3.73.

Starting in 08 model, you can get manual trans with 3.73 or 3.42.

at 2100 at 70mph with g56 manual trans you have the 3.73's.
