It would be cool to have this feature but I don't want to get a hard time from the dealer if I take the truck in with the CEL on. Can they do this if there is a CEL present? If I'm gonna do this then I may as well have them reset my pinion factor too so I don't have to keep pulling my calculator out to figure what my true mileage is...

 

They have to use the Star Scan to enable it the high idle and reset the speedo, so you might as well have them see why the CEL is on.

 

I know why it's on. Because parts fell off my truck........

 

Just be up front, be an a-- if necessary, and say I ONLY want the Idle feature enabled. More than likely the tech will do it in the parking lot. If you only lived closer.

So it CAN be done. That's good to know. Apparently there is a pretty good tech at the dealer close to me and he has a CTD and has no problems with modded trucks. Mine's not modded, persay, it's just been made better....
I may pay them a visit.....
