cab & chassis pics

finally got my bed on, thought I'd throw out a few pics, got the SS nerf bars put on it too, my only complaint on the bed is I wish the headache rack was a couple inches taller, & I wish I'd went ahead & ordered my toolboxes when I ordered the bed!! LOL here ya go

Very nice, the deck looks sharp with the mineral gray. The smoked cablights look great too.

looks great, especially the rear view, what will you use it for? I read your other post about towing equipment, do you have a receiver hitch? I had trouble finding the right one for mine, had to use a ford style and it's to low.

I'm afraid to ask the OTD price on this sweeeet puppy (unless you want to volunteer). It would be nice if you could get 0% APR on this truck, then maybe I'd be able to swing it. Heck, I don't even have anything to tow, just like the look (how dumb is that?).

thanks for the compliments, I have a little over $39K in the truck, & the bed ran me a shade under $3500 seems like alot less if you look at some of the prices of the regular pickups, I really wanted a sunroof, but the price difference was alot, & then I woulda had to pull the bed just to replace it with the Hillsboro, so I'm just stuck w/out a sunroof! lol I'm prolly gonna do all clear LED's in the bed, but I gotta save a little $ for the toolboxes first! I'll get more pics up after I get some more mods! thanks again, Dusty

I'd go with the all clear led's too. They look great on some of the independant truckers' rigs you see pulling aluminum flatbeds or all stainless reefers etc. It'd look really clean on that aluminum bed of yours. Keep in mind you might have to get some load equalizers to keep from having light out codes and such. Sounds like you got a great deal on that truck pricewise. Hey, btw, the church behind your truck in that pic looks awfully familiar. Can it be seen from I-81? I used to run up and down 81 all the time going up into the great northeast and I just know I have seen that church before. And I would almost say the houses look familiar too.

Holy melting mudflaps batman...

You are gonna have to do something about the exhaust exit of your truck, or the location of your mudflaps. The exhaust temps are very high when the ECM decided to regen the DPF. A simple turn down would probably be enough,, maybe a stack,,

don't know if you can see it much better in this pic,

but there is about a foot or better between the flaps & the exhaust, so I don't think I'll have much trouble with it, if it gets hot enough to melt the flaps that far away then the fuel tank is toast too!! lol

& the pics of the church are on hwy 107 from Chilhowie to Saltville & we're about 2 or 3 miles from I-81 but it can't be seen from there? you may have been through here at some point in time? Dusty

Dusty,

That's pretty good. I couldn't see it too well in the other pics.

I still feel that you may need a turn down...

I'll just have to burn up the mudflaps rather than put a turn down on it!!! LOL I may put a bigger tip on it so it directs the heat on out a bit, prolly gonna take the Hillsboro flaps off & put solid black rubber flaps on it with stainless weights on the bottom! I'll get some more pics up after some more mods, Dusty
