A/C Condenser Protection

How are those flimsy fins holding up with rocks and bugs? Is there anything out there that can be mounted in front of the condenser to protect it better without compromising airflow too much?

I hang a sheet of dark nylon window screen material in front of the radiators.

If you go to the Geno's garage website, they have a HD mesh guard that installs over them and protects them. I put one on my rig, takes about 45 minutes to install and i think it was about $50.

I saw that Kilby but didn't like the big openings in the mesh (not much protection IMHO). Went instead with some aluminum door screen fabric from Lowe's for a few bucks. It molds nicely across the face of the condenser.
