bluetech badge
it was the company that designed the emission system for Dodge for the 6.7 trucks. f I remember right it is part of Dymler Benz but if so you would think that crappy system would work better.

the shaved bluetech badge club is a great place where dodge owners can live in peace and harmony with their 6.7's which they now adore......
"BlueTec" is the proprietary diesel emissions system used by Mercedes Benz on their diesel passenger car lines. It has been in use in Europe for several years and we are starting to see the same cars with the same BlueTec systems being sold in the US.
On a passenger car diesel engine, the BlueTec system works nearly flawlessly. Fuel economy and drivetrain longevity are not strained in the least. However, like so many other things, something built for a passenger car is not capable of being viable in a medium duty work truck. In order to meet 2010 emissions standards for diesel vehicles, Dodge incorporated a modified version of the BlueTec system on the 2007.5-Current 6.7L trucks. This is your DPF, your NOx absorber, your EGR. The whole thing working together is the BlueTec system, and it is a flawed system for a large displacement diesel engine being used in a heavy work truck.

Oh, so it's an actual brand name for the emission garbage?
O.k.
I thought it was some pretty little label Chrysler threw on there to give the illusion that it's a good product.
"E.G.R.? Particulate filters...on a diesel? Thats garbage."

"BlueTec clean diesel? Oh. Dont sound that bad."

Just bolt everything back on once a year to get smogged. With the DPF and EGR delete kits out there presently, everything is easily reversed. It's a couple hours of wrench turning that you would have to do once a year but would be worth it to me if i lived somewhere that smogged diesels.
exactally! I am getting ready to do this exact thing to have some warranty work done on my truck. Just don't want to hassle with the dealer about a leaky seal being caused by my evil exhaust!!
