AQ flash
I'll let you know in 2 weeks. I'm a tank a week kinda guy.
There are some rumors floating around that it is supposed to increase fuel economy and prevent the p2000 codes from popping all the time. I suppose you are going to be the first to find out firsthand. Personally I think it is all one huge conspiracy by Chrysler to prevent Marco from releasing the S67, but Im a conspiracy theorist so go figure.
I have looked everywhere I can think of to get info on this AQ and can come up with nothing. I would think there has got to be something about it someplace. Maybe I just don't know where to look.
Any links?

I don't know if this helps but my tech told me the March 08' (is this the AQ?) Flash takes care of over senstivity/rationality parameters for the Air Filter Service reminder (sensor controlled by the air box' intake pressure) as well as some adjustments for extending the regen cycle. Sure it does more but don't know the specifics.

The March '08 flash for the '08 pickups was the AO flash. Shortly afterwards, the AP flash was released just for the trucks with automatic transmissions to correct some shifting inconsistancies.
I have no documentation on the AQ flash. I have just heard through the rumormill that there was supposed to be a flash released in early June and, since AP was the last one released, it only seemed logical AQ would be next.
steelblitzkrieg-the flash letter designators reset every year so your AS flash dealt only with the '06 MY. When they went to the '07 MY, they started back at AA. For example, the 07.5 MY trucks are currently at AX (before this supposed June flash) while, as i've mentioned above, the '08 MY is currently at AO for manuals, AP for automatics.

Spent some time last week with my service guy up at the dealer. I had P2262!!!!
Anyway, he told me the new flash(June Flash) was programmed to change the EGR ratios. He said that the amount of exhaust gases that were being recirculated by the system was going to be decreased to decrease soot accumulation and something to do with the P2000 code(or something like that). I am not familiar with the P2000? code, but he said it would also decrease the negative impacts that so many of our turbos are experiencing.

I'll let you know what it is after next weeks fill up.
There is a sticker on the engine compartment that states the flash that came on the truck from the factory. if the dealer updated the flash before you got the truck they likely didn't replace the sticker so you would have to have them plug in the StarScan tool and let you know what flash you have.
Azzy-what was your mileage before the flash? Are you seeing an improvement? There is a tech on the cumminsforum that stated the latest flash (assuming AQ for the '08s) is supposed to reduce the amount of exhaust gas that is being recirculated by the EGR soas to prevent the constant clogging of the EGR and the dirtying of the O2 sensors. I don't think that would have any bearing on fuel economy but a cleaner engine certainly can't hurt. The tech also said that they have not received the latest flash yet so maybe your dealership is just ahead of the pack with their updates.
