Amsoil in 6.7?

Quick question. When I do ALL my deletes next month, What Amsoil should I be running in it. I know what it calls for on their website, but just wondering if it still requires that oil with all the emmision crap gone. Thanks everyone.

I still run the Amsoil Diesel and have over 237,000 miles with no engine problems.

I have never ran Amsoil and have not had any problems. I am not aware of the 6.7 requiring it at all.

Good idea, sure, Amsoil is one of the best.

Sorry guys. What I meant to say is I will be switching to Amsoil when I do my deletes. I know it's not required. They (Amsoil) call for pre-emmision trucks to run one type and emmision trucks to run another. Thanks guys!

Isn't that for '07 and above? I see yours is a '07.5. The big concern is the third event during regen. Have you disabled that?

Sorry, I'm a noobie on programmers. Can you disable the 3rd injection with that?

Ahh ok, the CJ4 vs CI4 situation. Once deleted you can run which ever you like.

No you cannot disable the 3rd injection event. You can however disable the 4th injection event (the regen event).

Yes, my bad, I meant the one that injects during the exhaust stroke as you said "the regen event".

I fumbled the quote syntax action above, but AMSOIL AME would be okay to run then, correct?

AME is what I would run if doing all the deletes.

The new CJ-4 oils are made to handle the extra soot dumped into the crank via the EGR system. If you have removed the EGR and related parts I say just run their 15w-40 Diesel/Marine oil....but...do an oil analysis to make sure its performing as it should. If not, you can always switch to the 15w-40 CJ4 oil they sell also. But I think the Diesel/Marine will do fine.

Amsoil is great oil. We run it in ALL our vehicles and it has yet to let us down.
