6.7 owner's manual - can somebody help me out and look something up?

Can somebody with a 2007.5 truck look in your owner's manual under "replacement light bulbs" and tell me what bulb size goes into the backup lights? Mine says 3156 but that's the wrong size!! It fits the 03-06 but it's too big for 07's and I can't find a comparable size bulb at any auto parts store or wal mart in my area.. Thanks in advance!

Did you look on the bulb to see if it was marked?

They were marked but not with the "size" cause I tried to reference the numbers online and came up short there..

Poor, poor pic. Sorry. Basically says 3157 for regular and QCab or 1156 for cab and chassis. Post a pic of the bulb, maybe someone has seen one before. I have a good access to bulb cross references too.

I'm sorry I was going by memory vzdude it was a few weeks back when I had them pulled out and was looking. They were 3157 not 3156. Actually a 3157 and 3156 are the exact same size bulb the only difference between the two is one being a dual circuit for two functions brake, turn etc, while the other is a single circuit, like the backups.

Engi041 I'll have a look at some 3057's see if that works and let you know something later thanks!!

Ok I hate to break this to you all but 3057 is not the correct bulb. As a matter of fact a side by side comparison of 3057 shows it has the exact same size wedge as the 3157. The manual is wrong. Whatever the bulb size is it's smaller than 3057 or 3157. I bought some cheap smaller bulbs of different sizes at wally world tonight and will check tomorrow to see if anything works out.

I don't know the specific size of the backup lamp bulbs but they have the same "shank" as the size 194. It's a solid glass bulb. I tried one of my 194 cab light bulbs it plugs in and works just fine but it doesn't put out enough light for backups.

I just went outside and looked at mine and I believe it is a 912. Hope that helps.

912 921 922 they all have the same shank size as the 194. They do put out different lumens though.

Yeah it's stamped on the taillight housing 921 This is just a total waste of a thread I was trying to figure out what size led bulbs I needed but I had some bigger 1156 led bulbs on hand so I just modified the taillight housings to accept them.
