'08 warranty problems who has them?
I am thinking about coming back from the blue oval dark side but I am currious about warranty problems. Are you seeing alot of issues? How well is dodge taking care of them. I know Ford is very quick to void a warranty.
One of my friends has an 07.5, and he is having a few issues with the DPF, but they are on it really good.
If you plan on moding the truck, the dealer may give you a hard time.

Truck problems "Yes", Warranty problems "No"
The engine light has been on with supposed carbon buildup issues since the day I drove it off the lot. It's been back to the dealer 4 times over it's 8k miles, however I have never had any problems dealing with the warranty, they sometimes are not thrilled to give me something else to drive but I always get an invoice full of zeros when I pick it up.

I need a dually 4x4 cc laramie diesel auto, I pull everyday Im not worried about mods I just want reliability and more stability over the srw ford I have now. I think that if you work them they are probably fine, the grocery getters might have problems but I could be wrong. I had to use prepidlegal.com/hub/kfarinha once or twice with dealer refusals on obvious problems on my stock ford so thats the reason for the thread title. Lawyers really get the bugs out quick

I've had no problems with my "5 star dealer." 99,600 miles on the 03 SO with
the 47RE transmission (traded) and 11,500 on the 08. I've had no problem
with either truck hence the no dealer problem. He even sends out service
coupons, many, of which I've used. I did get tacked for a $98.00 oil change
in Amarillo on the 08. My local dealer coupon says $69.95. The service mgr.
the service writers and mechanics have all been very helpful. However, I
didn't get a "free" cap when I traded last Dec.

I only pay $20 bucks for an oil change at the dealer I bought the truck from. They also sent me 20 free oil change coupons and other coupns with 15% off on parts purchase, free tire rotations and whole bunch of other stuff. Also got 2 CTD/Dodge hats, my own personal calendar with a pic of me and my truck. Benny Boyd CDJ is by far the BEST dealer my family and friends have ever bought from. If you're a douchebag working there and Benny finds out yer fired quick and replaced!! Heck the owner even calls all new car costumers to make sure you're happy with what you bought and were treated properly. Just a downhome cowboy owning/running several dealerships here in central texas. They have truely earned they 5-Star rating IMO.
PS I'm in now way trying to sell for these people or work there admin.

seriously, a friend worked on one that just had the stickers up,
i guess they can order them from DC, so they ordered them and put them up.

Do you guys have an idea on the otd price on a 3500 4x4 Laramie? That is what I am in the market for, I havn;t even begun looking around too busy lately. I am in SE oklahoma so any tips on good dealers would be greatly appreciated
Heh, any dealer is going to be good right now. They just wanna unload diesels right now it seems. www.edmunds.com seems to give a pretty good price where you can start from.
I'd make sure you buy an 08 not an 07.5.
If you don't mind used I'd look for an 06/07 5.9 liter. Thats what I'd do, I see them going cheap right now since everyone hasn't adjusted to the fuel prices yet and just want to unload them. Plus that engine gets better MPG.
And yeah it seems if you work them they don't have problems.
