07 6.7 throttle position comtrol circuit performance code po488

My 2007 Dodge 3500 with 6.7 (120k miles) (cab and chassis, automatic) just developed this problem.Driving on interstate with cruise set and all of a sudden the cruise popped off and the lighting bolt in dash came on.Truck fell on its face.Like the throttle quit.I mashed throttle to the floor, truck slowed down a lot,but then took off like nothing happened. It did this for about 40 miles. Then the low fuel light came on.The truck then ran good again. The lightning bolt light went out at the same exact time the fuel light came on.Check engine light remained on.Ran a code reader.Showed codes po488,p2262 and po106.After talking to others, they said do an egr delete.Thinking these codes were all caused by faulty egr.
So I did the egr/dpf delete. The po488 (EGR.Throttle position control circuit performance)code keeps coming back.Im afraid to drive it thinking the lightning bolt light will come back on and Im then stranded.Actually Im stranded now,but at home.I have work waiting for me!

What kind of programmer did you use to do the egr delete?

I got the check engine light to go out by disconnecting the throttle position switch.Still concerned that the lightning bolt in dash will come on and then the throttle goes dead again.

Sounds like you have bad or sticking EGR air flow control valve and a turbo issue.

I performed EGR and DPF delete with aftermarket kit.Drove it today and it ran well.Just hoping the "dead throttle" issue doesn't show its ugly head again. All codes were deleted and has a clear ecm so far.
