Broken transfer case mount????

I've got a 2008 Megacab 2500 with only 40,000 miles on it and when I hit some bumps it sounds like the front shocks or exhaust are loose.....I had my wife hit a bump in front of my house and I can see the transfer case bouncing around. l took a look under the truck and I can't see why it would be loose. Has anybody had this problem? Are the rubber mounts going bad? Any ideas out there would be great.

Naturally I have no ideal if this would be your problem or not but I have a 2007 quad cab and the front end was making about the same kind of noise when I went over uneven ground or hit a bump it turned out that the sway bar bushing ball joints were fried, I know it seems simple and it was just that in my case, 30 US a piece and a little work. Good Luck!

Is your truck auto or manual? I know my 06 has sheared the bolts at the tranny crossmember (bolt the rubber mount to transmission) more than once. A common cause is bad/broken motor mounts. It can also result in broken transmission case which is a total nightmare. Look into aftermarket motor mounts like Carli. I think there is a DTR member that sells a very trick very $$$ solution to the prob. Hope that helps. RT
