'07 6.7 new turbo

I have an '07 CTD that I got in November w/ 6600 miles on it and my turbo has already burned up. Has anyone else had a problem similar to this with the 6.7 or any other new truck for that matter. It kind of scares me to think my turbo has already gone out after so few miles. I haven't towed anything or stressed the engine at all. It's my first CTD so I am just curious.

tell him to open it up with a trailer a few times that will end turbo issues. we had one salesmen'ss and one foreman's trucks w/ 6.7's loose their turbos in the first 20k miles, all the other 4 work trucks have 60-115k miles and no issues other than a few flashes.

I had mine replaced at 22,000, so they can fail later.

jperkinsstu - you cannot let these 6.7's idle. It will cause the DPF filter to fill up as well as issue with the VD turbo .I have had this issue with a few of our company trucks and in one case warranty was denied because of excess idle time on the engine.

Idle time is hard/bad for any diesel.Use your high idle feature and ramp it up to 1200 rpm or so.Wasn't there also a part number change on turbos early on with the 6.7 ? as well as some flash updates for carbon and such.
