Wiring Help

I got back-up camera for Christmas and want to wire it into the reverse light circuit. Does anyone know the wire color for the reverse lights in the harness at the rear of the truck (06 2500 CTD), and also wire color and an easy access point for reverse circuit under the dash or under the hood? I know that I can find it with a meter and some time on my back, but I am hoping someone has already done the research for me.

I guess there aren't a lot of people who know the answer to this one. If I get around to crawling under the truck and finding the right wire, I will let you know what I discover. It is raining today, so I don't think I will get to it until later.

Hi Bigiron, I had one and took it back. It was useless at night. Before you do the install do a temp hookup and see if it helps at night. You can just stoch lock into the trailer harness connector, but I do not remember the color of the wire.

The one I bought has night vision. It has 6 LEDs built into the camera. The brand is Winplus and it came from Costco. BTW, for the camera I tapped into the reverse light circuit on the driver's side where the harness goes up to the driver's tail light. The correct wire is white with a green stripe, but there are two of them and you have to meter them to find the right one. There is a solid white wire that is a ground source or you can just ground to the body or frame.
