I might be able to get a brand new BD Short shift (for free) for my truck. It's for a 2002, and mine is a 2003. Will this fit?

 

BD shows two different part numbers for the 6spd shifter. 1031050 for '99-02 and 1031055 for '03-04. I would call BD and ask about the differences between the two.

the spacer is the same between the 2 i am quite sure, but the shifter piece is different. the 3rd gen is a simple straight stock with a little bend to it, the 2nd gen one is has much more of a bend..

bd short shifter instruction manual on the 2nd page of the bd manual, it shows what the pieces look like. the 2nd might work, but it is a little different

 

Cool thanks guys. I'll call BD and see if they'll let me swap it for a 2003 (hopefully for less than $250.00). Then I'll install it. If it doesn't work, I'll take it. No problem.
