will the 68rfe ever be available for the 5.9l
Do you think the 68rfe will ever be available for the 5.9l dodge? or will we just keep rebuilling the old ones.

Probably not since the 5.9 is not available in the new trucks anymore.

I'm sure it will be available one day, but I think the cost is going to be prohibitive for many more years to come.

One would think that the new engine would have the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the 5.9....the electronics would be a different story!!!!

Suncoast says not really possible; however the Aisin is doable. They did not tell me why.

The 48RE is a pretty simple design - I like that a lot. It's relatively small and light for a heavy duty trans also.
