Wierd sound from the new truck

Today I washed the new truck for the first time (don't think it has to do with the problem, but you never know.) After I washed it I came home for like an hour and then had to run another errand, after I had been driving the truck for about 20 min. I noticed a wierd noise coming from what sounded like the drivers side of the engine bay. It sounded like a whine that sounded like something rubbing, like whine......whine....whine....) it didn't get faster or slower with speed but I noticed it went away if I pushed on the clutch, It also sounded loudest when I was in 5th gear and got quiter when I shifted to 6th, but it was still there.

I have no idea what could be causing it, hoping someone here has some sort of idea.

All the whines I've heard from my truck change with speed and engine rpm, so you know they're coming from the differential or tranny or driveline.

Since your sound is different, I also don't have any idea. Maybe you could give some more details, if there are any? Sorry.

Just a wild guess!

Might it be the throw out bearing. If it is only there when you release the clutch and not when it is depressed maybe that is a place to start.

Just my $.02 worth.

After posting this on another site, the throwout bearing is what they were leaning towards too. Guess it'll be off to the dealer to have them check it out. THe sound is not constant anymore either, it comes and goes, I haven't heard it for a while, but my wife who drived\s it to work everyday says she still heres it every now and then.

Here is another shot in the dark, check your eng belt and see if it is partially off one of the pulleys?
