Why does my CRD cool down so much faster then my 01 24v?
I have been noticing that my new truck when I come to a stop cools down a TON faster then my 01 24v. the 01 would always have to idle for at least 2 minutes to bring it to 300*. my 06 cools to 300* in like 20-30sec's
I'm not complaining I'm sure it helps save fuel.
do you think it has something to do with the 6 speed vs the auto?
my 01 was auto and the 06 is 6 speed.
maybe the auto trans is putting more load on the engine at all rpms? causing it to just plain run warmer all the time??
whats yall's thought's on this????

I think my brother's 02 takes a little longer to cool down too. Mine cools down in about 30 seconds. But his is a 6-speed....Diff gauges maybe? My brother's is a Banks, mine isn't (I can't remember the brand name).
