I've been running Rotella T 15w-40 for 15+ years. I run it in every thing I own diesel or gas motor!!! I even run it in my Honda lawnmower.

I have ran Rotella 15/40 in my rig since it was new. 28k on the clock. All of my oil samples have came back good. Blacksone has even told I could run 6 to 7 K between oil changes.

So basically,Blackstone confirmed the OCI (7500 miles) Cummins has set in the manual.

Here... I ran the 15w-40... then read good reports on the 5w-40 synthetic and it's still reasonably priced compared to Amsoil and Royal Purple... (not to take any thing away from them they are excelent oils, just expensive)

Every person I know runs Rotella...

Its reasonably priced compred to Amsoil and Royal Purple because its not a Group 4 synthetic like they are.Its a Group 3.Its not really a synthetic. Its a super refined conventional oil.Its lacks enough for it not have extended oil drain interval. You get what you pay for.

I know a lot of people like it but I also know of some in the past year who have quit using even in there cars. They say its not holding up as well as it use to so I can only guess its because of them going to the CJ-4 formula.

I run rotella 5w-40 syn and I cant stop...Been doing since I was 18,000 miles old.
I switched over at 15K miles. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy to run "synthetic".

I run Delo, but would have no problems with using Rotella...I used to use Amsoil, but didn't like the results. Take Rotella over most out there any day.

I know guys running the New Rotella 15-40 CJ oil in their 5.9 dodge cummins using extended drain intervals. They do UOA and so far I think one is up to 20 some thousand miles and the oil is still doing good.

Makes me feel good knowing when I drain my oil at 7,500 miles there's plenty of life left but my warranty dictates to change.

The first week I read this I panicked and went out and bought 3gals. of WallyWorld oil.
you will also notice amsoil premium synthetic lower than rotella 15-40. and rotella synthetic 5-40 in second place from top. how many run amsoil and rave about it.
