White Smoke while running

Driving my truck this morning, I notoced white smoke out of the tailpipe after it was warmed up. It was 0 deg. F outside & I was running unloaded. The white smoke was not continuous, but would occur when I would put my foot down (accelerating or going uphill). Looked like unburned fuel going out the pipe. Could it be that the engine was running too cool?

mine does the same thing in extreme cold, even with the engine at 190 degrees.

Are you sure it's "smoke" and not condenstaion. Mine will spew some condensation when it's cold and I get on it but never smoke.

Sounds like a leaky injector or two, last winter I had 3 replaced. While at operating temps, I could fill a parking lot with white smoke.

Don't think so - 100 miles down the road, it still smoked when I would put my foot down. Condensation would have burned off by then.

It's just exhaust condensation. You have to remember when 700 + degree air hits 0 degree air, there is going to be some condensation and not from the residual that sits in the exhaust muffler and/or pipe..

Surprisingly not, I noticed no difference at all. Ran fine, power was there, she just spewed white somke like a SOB every now and them. I would take in to the tech and have him check it with the DRB, it will show what percentages the injectors are operating at.
