Ever since I bought my 04 I've always used Mobile Delvac. I'm ready to change again and went to Wally World to get 3 gallons, they're out of stock. Went across the street to another box, no Delvac. Went to Pep Boys, no Delvac. Whats up with this????

All stores had plenty of Rotella, I ended up buying Valvoline Blue since it has the Cummins endorsement on it (OK, there is a $5 rebate on 2 gallons).

Please don't tell me the shortage of Delvac is caused by high demand in China

 

did you see the yellow capped mobil1 truck & suv there? it is pretty much delvac1 in a smaller bottle...

 

Mobil advised me via a telecon that it was in fact the same. I was having the same problem as well---marketing folks must have thought it would sell better this way!

 

I think he may be talking about Delvac 1300, ya know, the dino stuff.

 

I usually have good luck buying it at Walmart.

 

Yes, I'm talking about the Delvac 1300 in the one gallon jugs. I'd prefer not to mess with 12 one quart bottles.

 

I saw it last night at Costco here in VA. It was 19.99 a case of 6gallons. I think I am going to go back and get a couple cases tonight.

 

I believe Wallyworld of divesting itself of Delvac 1300. I was there last week, and saw 2 lonely gallon jugs of it on the close-out shelf for 5 bucks a jug.

 

Ive got the third loney jug at my house with no friends for it. Went to walmart today to get him two buddies and ended up getting Rotella T. Poor Guy!

 

Is delvac 1300 and delvac 15w40 the same. How many flavors of delvac are there.

 

Yes. Delvac 1 is the synthetic (5w40) and Delvac 1300 is the dino oil (15w40).

 

keep checking, all the wal marts around here still have it. they are actually changing the bottle that it is in. It is now in a stand up square type bottle, other wallyworlds may be clearancing the old style bottle before they get the new stuff in.

 

Well, I changed the oil yesterday, now I know what all the stink is about with Rotella & Valvoline (pun intended ). I never smelled this before, I think my oil change interval just went from 7000 to when I can find 3 gallons of Delvac.
