Question Where to Start for An Allison Swap - 2007 2500

Hello Everybody,

Is there a good, recognized shop that does Allison transmission swaps on 2007 Ram 2500's with 5.9 Cummins?

If not, who makes the best kit? I have a dedicated garage space and can buy a transmission jack, but probably won't have access to a lift. I can weld and solder.

Also, while I'm at it, is there a place folks like for oil analysis?

Thanks,

Del

Good morning, Del. I can't help you on the tranny, but I use Blackstone Labs for oil analysis. If you go to their website, you can order oil sample containers (free).
Back to morning brew . . .

This swap is becoming more common but still pricey as heck even if you do all the work yourself. Here are a couple of companies providing parts and support for this swap.

Lots of research required before opening your wallet...
