Contact one of the on site vendors here. You're going to want Dynatracs or Carli's.

Im using XRFs from tire rack a vendor on this site. I have had them for about 30K and have had no issues with them. They are the greaseabale ones top and bottom.

I did a bunch of research on ball joints for dodge trucks and came up with the best reviews and satisfaction with XRF'S greaseable. So I have just put them into my 03 dually.

Oops. Carli's site lists several.
The XRF's reportedly are knurled.

McQuay-Norris brand was the one -- I thought -- that was the decent OEM alternative (and not solid gold like the CARLI).

The issue is that some ball joint companies manufacture their products with knurls or splines which tend to open up the axle housing some. When the time comes to replace them again, it becomes a challenge to seat the new ball joint properly. If one chooses a smooth surfaced ball joint, it may slip in too easily and rotate in the axle housing. If you are replacing factory ball joints I recommend replacing them with smooth surfaced product.

Given that the labor rates associated with installing them can be cost prohibitive, I believe in purchasing a quality product the first time. Paying labor to replace them again seems senseless even if the product is warranted. My choices are in the following order Carli, Dyna Trac and Mc Quay Norris.

Research the Carli vendors. Several advertise free shipping and if it's out of state in many cases no tax.

I bought my truck used a few years back. At the time my mechanic noted that it had new ball joints on her which were greaseable. I thought great!
After having the truck for 3 years and only putting on 40,000 kms I noticed the front tires starting to wear funny.
So off the the alignment shop. It appears that I need on the left side a 1degree upper ball joint and on the right side a 1/2 degree upper ball joint.

I figure before I got the truck new stock ball joints were installed. Then they sold the truck prob. knowing that they would never see the truck again.

I was quoted close to a $1000 to redo the two upper ball joints.

Anybody see another option?

Why would Dodge make it that you have to replace ball joints to bring the truck back in alignment?
