The PF7977 is for our trucks. And it's also a water separator.

Fleetguard is a division of Cummins, so it's the OEM filtration system.

The FS19856 is the filter that is specified for the Dodge Ram. It is 7 microns. A seven micron filter is specified for the Dodge housing. Be careful using products that are not seven microns and that don't cross to the FS19856, you could void any warranties on the filter. Also the Fleetguard filter has a Stratapore media. They have a patent on this media so no one else has it.

my last filter i bought was from part source in canada and it was called ......it was in black box with red writing. i believe it was SDF or SKF or something.all i know it was identical to my old one except it went on stem harder. like the rubber grommet on the bottom made a tighter seal around filter stem

The Baldwin Pf 7977 and FS19856 Fleetguard Stratapore are the only 2 fuel filters that meet Cummins Spec's for both dirt holding capacity and water separation.
