The only items I have had to replace was the water-pump.. Started leaking around 85k.. Had one of the front hub bearings go a little over 100k and changed both to manual hubs. Won't have to do them again...

I have replaced many items but they were choices I made to hopefully make the truck better. I have not been left stranded anywhere..

Some kind of bearing in transmission had to be changed out at 4000 miles. Rear end began making noise and grinding at 8000 miles and had to be rebuilt. CD player doesn't work most of the time but dealership says they cannot duplicate the problem. Windshield wiper switch sometimes will not go to high speed. Dealership cannot duplicate the problem. Seat covers are crap. Thats about it with 48000 miles.

My old 2005 rams turbocharger turbine wheel blew off at the bearing and sucked in to my engine. Thats when i had it fixed and sold it. My newer 06s thermostat has had problems. My flexplate blewout, and i got a trans. upgrade. My stock torque converters feet that bolt to the fly wheel bent and caused torque converter failure while pulling a 16 k skidsteer/gooseneck.(before the trans. upgrade.)and A socket got stuck in my oilpan from the dodge place.A snap on socket that i kept.

I'm now on the far side of 200K but nothing new to report except a third crack this time in the piece closest to the windshield. The other two cracks haven't gotten any worse.

One more good tank and I'll hit 19.7mpg lifetime.

2007 4X4 Laramie @25K

Sirius Radio, 1 battery, Tie Rod Assembly and Pitman Arm (H46) & Pass Lumbar. Very rapid OEM Michelin tire wear.

I need the name, phone number, and address of the ****** that designed the front driveshaft grease point.

I'm knocking on wood as I type this but absolutely nothing has gone wrong on my '07. My camper has been on since purchase(11-06) and Smarty's been powering it along. Regular maintenance by yours truly.

2500 miles the front input on the NV5600 started leaking. took it to the dealer and some schmuck smeared anerobic sealer around it thinking that would fix it. took it back the next day and said I already took photo's proving you didnt even touch the trans, service writers eyes got about as big as softballs and they had my truck in and out in 7 hrs... thieves...

changed themostat around 35k, it was running cold and the fuel economy suffered about 1.5 mpg on my regular use. replaced with a 30 somthing odd dollar napa one and been good since.

warranty door seals

Ujoints on rear drive shaft went at about 55k. front seems just fine though even now. The rears started to sqeak before the vibration stated about 35 miles later. fixed myself and had local line shop install joints and balance shafts

added a can of R13 refrigerant at about 15k miles. fixed the warm a/c issue.

Changed to monroe gas magnum shocks and steering stabilzer on my own choice, nothing was wrong with factory parts, just these are better. Way better shocks with a slight increase in rate.

an obnoxious sqeak in the 4x4 lever that i doused with graphite lube and its been good since new.

Outside of that, i've got 85k on the clock now, and its been driven like a corvette, baja'd many many times on the farm, and hauled cows and horses everywhere and sleds to 3 states. Ball joints are perfect, brakes are super given the use and miles and that they got pretty hot 3 times now. Just service like DCX and cummins want except the 15k diff oil changes and greased cardan joint on the front shaft. been doing it once a year since i have to take the skid plate off to do it. ..... thats kinda dumb. This truck gets used hard. lots of cold starts (started once in -20 F no block heater and it fired right up. cant beat that).

I just cant belive how solid this truck is. there aren't any sqeaks of anykind anywhere. Which is just unheard of for a farm/dairy truck. Gotta love the fully hydroformed frame and no rear sway.

pulls like a dream. feels like 4 350 chevys hooked together.....lol. I wished i every vehicle i've owned as been as flawless and as fun to own and drive as this one.

Best thing you can do for these engines is run them hard. Buddy of mine has almost same truck and his is a dog...... and its a garage queen. He said once "why does yours run better than mine? I dont rod mine like you do yours" told him it wasnt meant to be a minivan and go to the store. Drive it like ya stole it.

I'm at 98,000 miles on my 05' , about 1/3 of them pulling my rig around the nations state parks. I'm still on my second set of tires and did brakes about 5k ago. My only complaint is the leather has peeled off the top of my steering wheel where I rest my hand while driving , and the paint on my front bumper has not held up to the bugs, even with regular cleaning and waxing.
