Ok, so I was somewhat thinking of a dodge Pickup. I can't decide between the the Quad cab Long bed, or the q. cab short bed. So what do you say? I just want opinions, not serious about buying. Or if the Mega cab is more your style go ahead and pick that. grin

I have a qc sb, and it's great for me. I'd go with a mega if I had grown ups riding in the back a lot. Not a fan of the long bed unless it's a work truck, not a daily driver. PITA to park at walmart.

Yep all in what you need it for. I went with the SB since I do not use it for work with the exception of PLowing. Then the long wheel base would be a PITA

where I live the longbed will not slow you down. But snow plowing is a different story, I don't think the truck would ever feel small enough when plowing.

I guess it pretty much does boil down to what you want to do with your truck.

Exclamation

I had a 2003 Q/C long bed. Now I have a Q/C short bed.
I like the long bed for the room to haul my bikes.
I like the short bed for looks and ease of maneuvering.
It`s all a personal preference.
In 2002 I would not even think of buying a short box.
Now in 2006 I think the long box is ugly.
My taste`s have change along with the truck.

If you pull a gooseneck trailer or a 5th wheel then definetly go with a long bed. If you do these things with a short bed then it doesn't leave much room in the bed for anything else.

I is all about how you look in SoCal so I got the short box. In all seriousness, that is the only one that fits in my garage at about 17'.

Short Box all the way.... Plus a mega.. Helps out with the room no matter who is sitting in the back they will appreciate the room.. My 4 year old daughter loves it.. Plus she can't kick the back of the seat anymore.... There is so much more storage room in the back of the mega.. I didn't think there was a ton of difference between the Quad cab but oooh my!!! I love my mega.....
