no contest long bed hands down you'll love the ahuling space and you can add stacks and/or a toolbox and still have a useable bed try that with a short box I DONT THINK SO

QC long bed,would have got the Mega cab long bed if they made it,long bed is more funtional an probably has better resale value,I am 6'3" tall and drive with the seat only half way back,as long as you don't put 6'+ guys in the back their is enough room.6 more inches in the QC would have been nice,just to ajust the rear seat backs .

Here again no offence. But S/Bs are always mistaken for GASSERS unless close enough to hear it or see a BADGE.Ones that have been debadged and at a distance everyone I've every talked to or had in my truck always assumes its a GASSER.

If you've ever had to turn around on a muddy country road with a quad cab long bed pickup, you'll go with the quad cab short bed on your next purchase.

Well, since we are talking about "opinions" I would say the QC Long Bed ... I have no idea why any truck manufacturer would ever make a short bed pickup truck ... it has no purpose, no utility. In fact there should be 10 and 12' pickup beds.

Absolutely! As mentioned earlier, a short box doesn't work well with a gooseneck trailer, or an overhead camper, or a load of firewood, or motorcycles, or snowmobiles. A short box makes a nice car, but a car gets lots better mileage. If you want a TRUCK, get a long box, and a quad cab is nice to keep items away from weather or theives. Just my $.02

get what works for YOU!!!!

the best bed is the one that suits your needs!!!
not all the guys on DTR

a big cab suited my needs more then a big bed, so I got a SB mega. It defiantly does not make my truck any less of a truck because it's a SB.

you might have to be more careful with a sb while towing a GN or 5er but it is done all the time with zero problems.

Cheers

Long bed being more suitable for heavy towing applications but if you are using you truck as a daily driver in the city then you will definately appreciate the short box, after reading all these posts im sure you have a pretty good idea of what the differences are and now you should be able to make the decision based off of what you are using your truck for and what you'd prefer to drive

Depends on what you need;
QC Longbed if you work it some
QC Shortbed if you hardly use your bed
MC Shortbed if you have a large family

I personally think the Mega cab is too large and kinda ugly...why can't they built a REGULAR CREWCAB???
