Hey guys recently bought a 2005 ram2500 with g56. Dealer says they put new clutch in and it feels good no issues with it. The only issues im having is if I get on the skinny pedal it will smoke some. Its not a huge issue im just trying to figure out exactly what I have. Truck only has stock gauges, but the is a plugged hole for pyro and boost. Just wondering if there is a way to tell if truck has stock injectors. Not sure what is stock as the po did intake exhaust and had gauges so just wondering what your advice would be on checking things out. Truck runs great only 108000 miles.

Hi Mike and welcome to DTR.

Be patient and some of our knowledgable folks will help you out. From what you post, it would be a safe bet that the owner had something going on. It is very possible the smoke you see is normal for stock.
If the PO still has the stock turbo charger, it is unlikely that you have aftermarket injectors. The only way to tell is to remove them and have them bench tested. It is possible that a tune remains, most tunes can be spotted by the dealer. Except for smarty in which case the PO probably unloaded the tune to sell the unit. So I doubt you had a smarty! But you probably should consider it. And replace the gauges that were removed too!
