My mods below are basically going to be all I am going to do except for the Predator and Power Puck that are on the way.

Do I really need a clutch? If so which one and why?

 

You will know if you need a clutch when the new power comes in, if you slip it you need a clutch, if you dont slip it you dont need a clutch.

I would think an SBC OFE would suite you needs if you do end up haveing to get one.

 

My stock clutch plate went out at 88 k. I bought a Luk high performance clutch plate...it is supposedly rated for 1000 lb ft.

 

my con ofe holds 505 hp/1021 tq. with bigger tires. works great

luk is also the manufacterer of the stock clutches in our trucks, at least the nv5600.
