Case worker called. No help what so ever. Only said I am sorry for your trouble. I told her about the run around I have gotten and the dealer is the problem. She told me that they were a 5 star dealer and that couldnt happen.

I hate to say this but 5-Star Dealer. I have one in my area and I wouldn't take a go-cart to them period. They couldn't fix my company truck when it had an electrical problem. Long Story. I use my local Chrysler dealership and they only have 2 tech's but they are both excellent. An when I say they are excellent that they are. The 5-Star dealer get's the middle finger if you know what I mean...... And you can call them up and tell them that I said so. I'll be glad to talk to them. And no, I didn't get a survey to fill out on them, If I did they would be toast.....

Sorry, had to rant a little. 5-Star means nothing to me......

Kev94mx, I had a problem with an 03 Dodge CTD and went the legal route. From the first week I had the truck in for the problem to the time I got a check from DC it took 18 months. It took sixteen months of DC replacing parts and trying to fix the problem and after contacting an attorney it then took two months to get a buy back of the truck. They wont take you serious till they are contacted by an attorney. Make sure you have every piece of paper on the repairs and your trips into the dealership documented. Every case is different and I wish you good luck.

That would most likely be a very good thing. If Toyota which is known for a well built dependable product with good customer service breaks into the diesel truck market, Everyone will have to step it up a notch to stay competetive.

A little bit of consistency would be very nice. It seems there are dealers out there that are very helpful and good at serving the customer, and it seems there are some out there that need a kick in the seat of the pants.

Its a must before you buy a CTD to make sure the service dept. knows what these diesels are used for and they know how to repair them. My dealer even sells all the mods for the trucks. My first dealer sold very few maby three a year and they didnt know S*&^ about them or how to fix them.

I was going to suggest the business link route too.
Enrollment is free, they gave it to me when I bought mine.
I have all the paperwork here for it if you need to know what it covers or doesn't. Pm me or look around on the dodge website.

Thanks for the info. I will check into that. I called all the people that was waiting on me and they said ok when ever I got a truck. I did lose a couple of jobs though. Thanks to my great service. My buddies came and picked me up yesterday to go 4 wheelin and I rode in his 6 speed over there. I cried all the way over there. That truck ran and pulled so good. My truck has gotten so bad that it isnt even driveable. He was getting 18mpg pulling around 2500 lb. Mine was getting under 10 going down hill. They have had my truck a week now and havent even found a problem yet or may not of even looked at it.

Why can't you take it to another dealer? It's got a 36k warranty, and unless it is void for some reason, DC has to fix it whether it's at the selling dealership, or a dealership 1000 miles away. Give a call to the BBB, they'll be all over this.
I had a problem with a 95 ram gasser tranny that while cold and in drive would periodically rev up to 4000 rpm before it would go. It was at the dealership several times over 3 months and they could never duplicate the problem. Finally the BBB, and a letter from an attorney forced their hand, and I got a new tranny. When I picked it up the service manager tells me "You didn't need to get an attorney involved" I looked him straight in the eye (I was 18 at the time) and told him "obviously I did need an attorney, as you had the truck for 3 months and just gave me a run around."
The dealership can't keep your truck for a week, and not have an answer to what they are going to do for a fix.

Look at my past posts. I took it to another dealer and they found obvious tranny trouble and may other things. They didnt want to get involved with this mess and Chrysler said I had to take it back to the dealer I started with. I told them it wasnt safe to drive over there and they said its the only way that they can find a problem. The tranny totally let go before I decided when to take it. It was towed in last Monday. They told me then that I was next in the shop and that was last Tuesday. I must be black balled by Chrysler because all the can say is sorry and will not give me any higher people to talk with. They will not give me any names or numbers. I have always talked to them with respect. Thank goodness it let go close to home. I dont have another vehicle. Mom has been nice enough to let me drive her car. I have been driving it for the last 2 months off and on anyway. My truck is a joke to drive and gets about 8 to 10 mpg most of the time. I guess they are trying to get me to trade and lose about 10 to 15 grand.
