I feel your pain

Had similar issues with my 04.5 6speed. Had the tranny apart 5 times in the past year. First issue was due to roller bearing fusing to the main shaft. Everything still worked fine but it would slip out of 6th when towing. Fixed that issue and the tranny was never the same. After the 5th repair the 5 Star dealer brought in an "expert". All subsequent repairs were the result of a faulty mechanic!!!! Luckily, I kept my cool through the whole thing and Dodge paid for all repairs and additional expenses accrued (ie, rental cars, emergency airline tix due to being stranded in WVa for a week, etc., etc., etc).

Sounds like you're well beyond getting things fixed without the lawyer, but don't let the *********** get the best of you. Keep all documentation, receipts, etc., and present it all. They will have no choice but to correct the problem.

P.S. I had to drive my truck from WVa back to Colo with the tranny in pieces. Put 1800 miles on it in 2 days and couldn't go over 55 without the engine de-fueling!!! The drive back was more stressful than all of the repairs and wasted time due to dealership incompetence!!! It sucks now, but you will look back on it and laugh (at the dealer) one day!!

My pappy is in the same boat. His 07 has leaked tranny fluid since new. They have 1) Tightened pan bolts, 2) Replaced pan gasket, 3) Replaced pan and gasket, 3) Replaced cooler lines, and inspected it for leaks two other times. The truck cost $52000 and only has 3000mi on it!!! He also called a lawyer last week and wants the truck replaced.

well i know I would be steaming mad and jumping on the service managers desk screaming......not that it would get me anywhere but why the hell not. they arent doing anything anyway, so why not let that SOB have it, at least you will feel a little better.

cant you take it to another DC shop and have them fix it.........? I would take it in and say that its acting up real bad. dont tell them you came from another dealer and they were giving you hell. just play dumb and see what happens.

although you really need to call the BBB and get your lawyer to give them a friendly call to let them know your very serious. cant believe you have waited this long.......

All Dodge owners listen to this!!!!!! Got word today. They say my trucks tranny failed due to wrong fluid in the transmission. Two, My truck has a steal bed and its not a mopar bed. Three my truck is not made to tow but 10150 and I admited of towing 14k. I have not touched the fluid in this piece of crap and they have been checking it since it was new!!!!!!!!!! My bed was put on after I started having problems. I cant understand where they get the 10k pound crap. The new toyota half ton pulls that. They are also going to void my warrenty now to.

typical, get your lawyer on it. they have to prove modified parts caused the problem. Talk to another dealer. What a joke. Thank god i have 2 dealers up here who will fix just about anything without givin me any problems.

All I remember is the GCVWR of 2wd and that is 21,000 lbs with 3.73's and 23,000 lbs with 4.10's. Best of luck to ya. What a mess. No doubt it sounds like a dealership issue. Lawyer time....

I am in big trouble here and I did nothing wrong !!!!! My truck is been over there 11 days tomorrow. Now my warrenty maybe voided. People put flatbeds on there truck here all the time. I had tranny trouble even before that. My bed has nothing to do with the tranny. My 2500 pulled my stuff great I just went up to a dually for safty reasons. Boys was I stupid.

Have them prove to you that the fluid was the wrong stuff....where's the lab report???????? And it took them 11 days to figure this out???

Otherwise tell them to shove it where the sun doesn't shine, and that your lawyer will be in contact with them.

Prime example why I passed on the 0% for 72months promo they had last month. My current truck has been awesome (knock on wood)....and didn't want to invite any problems with a leftover 2006.

Stay on them, get the district rep in on it, and get your lawyer on it big time. I know of one tech that is awesome, and the vast many of them.......lord knows.
