BARTY - I just finally got my issue resolved. The SHIFT CABLE was rubbing the front drive shaft, but only when braking & when suspension was dampening for a pothole, etc.

1st attempt which helped a lot I simply used a zip tie to keep the shift cable from all that movement & flex. But it still made the noise on more extreme braking or suspension dampening.

Worth noting I never had this noise while driving or braking in reverse at any speed

2nd attempt which has completely eliminated the issue was to DISCONNECT THE SHIFT CABLE & REROUTE IT AWAY FROM FRONT DRIVE SHAFT

Hope this works for you & everyone else who has this issue

Barty Did you try the zip tie on shift cable or rerouting the shift cable to avoid it from hitting the drive shaft on braking & bumps? Did it work? You should let a comment on this forum for all to see
