Steering issue?

So I've been getting some feedback in the steering wheel and a low pitched noise when I turn. It's far worse to the left. Noise almost makes ya think the tires are rubbing, but it still does it when the truck is stopped. Usually don't do it until the fluid warms up. Which don't take long. Within a few minutes the hoses are fairly hot.

Just replaced the pump tonight and noise is still there. Wondering if it couldn't be my gear box? I do have a little play in it. It's definitely worse when turning to the left. I can feel and hear it at times when using my brakes.

I'm lost. Any ideas would be great.

Thanks
Kris

Could be the brake hydra-booster. It runs off the PS pump. Try pumping the pedal standing still to see if the noise pulses on/off

I can feel it in the brakes as well. I'm leaning towards the gearbox because it is much worse one direction over the other. My understanding is that the gear box is the only thing that would be able to cause that. Hope so anyways. Cause i think i'm replacing it.
