steering/braking issue
steering/braking issue
A small issue, actually. Downhill, making a turn, put the brakes on, and through the steering wheel I "feel" a kind of clunk (don't hear it) -- as though something has "shifted" position suddenly, and is loose. Everything seems tight -- bolts, tracbar fittings, tie rod ends, trail arms, shocks, even the wheel bearings don't "shake". Truck handles very well, no slop. Brakes work very well.
Any ideas? Thanks!

If Im not mistaken I had this sort of thing happen to me a good while back. I could apply the brakes and hear a clunk. I remeber going into Brake Check for a free brake inspection
and while t was in the air I walked under her and checked every thing I could touch. Shocks, u-joints every thing.
If I remember correctly it quit. thats all I remember.

I had something similar- the calipers were sticking slightly, and in combination with the little play in the wheel bearings (well within specs) it gave that feeling. cleaning and lubing the calipers removed it.
