Water Pump Failure
Water Pump Failure
70,000 miles and water pump is leaking ! Is this common ? It should be covered under warranty right ?
Just wondering if this has happened to a few others.

$100 deductible. Save some bucks and do it yourself. Bought a new ( not reman) from NAPA for 54 bucks. Took longer to drain and refill the cooland than to replace. 2 bolts and 1 o-ring after taking the belt loose. Good luck!
read a post or two that says it should be covered completely since the truck is less than 5yrs old. haven't check my warranty info yet, but i will today. thanks. glad to know they aren't expensive and they are easy to install just in case.
water pump on 06 goes in tomorrow
Mine has 23000 on it and noticed something like rusty water from underneath. Then noticed my side of my afe intake that I just put on was slowly getting covered. You can tell that the fan is fling it around, some on valve cover, etc. So, I had to put the stock intake back on and they're gonna look at it tomorrow.

The manuel talks about cleaning the water pump weep hole. Darned if I can see the thing to clean it. Does anybody do it?
