I'm a little disappointed in the camera angle. From that vantage all the shake appears "at the tire". I don't see that lateral movement in the axle that the track bar is suppose to control.

That is sick!!! Glad I don't have that problem. What is the deal with that? What causes it?

usually an untorqued trac bar. That has been my experience with it.

you dont see the axle as it really can only move a TINY bit, but it is enough to make you feel it. its scarier then crap. It will rip the steerin wheel right out of your hands. The steering wheel moves back and forth faster then you can imagine. Every time it happened ot me I had to come to a stop to stop it as holdi the steering wheel only made it worse.

Yeah losing control is scarier than heck. My 95 gives me problems occasionally- i've changed out the shock, tie rods, trac bar....still giving me fits.

Thats because you won't see lateral movement in the axle, like you said the track bar is controling it, plus thats not what DW is. The only way you can have a DW issue is worn suspension parts, or improper caster angle. You lift a truck like these and right away you have decreased caster angle. These things need as much positive caster as possible. People like to blame DW on tires which cracks me up.

Loose parts causes death wobble.
The EB in video had little to no Trac Bar bushings IIRC.

Yeah Early Bronco.

Death Wobble is caused by a number of things. The most common seems to be a worn out track bar. But bad ball joints, bad control arm bushings, or not enough caster can also cause it. Don did that on purpose if i recall to show what it looks like.

That slow motion one shows it the best, you guys are right about it being scarier then heck, mine used to do it about 2 years ago, glad I didnt see that video back then dont think I would have taken the truck on the highway after seeing that.

Keep laughing.
My .03 had severe death wobbles with BFG's. Just any good size bump would set it off.

New tires and not one episode since (almost two years now). Same roads.

Tires seem to have fixed mine.
