Wana help me beat a dead horse? gear oil

I want o change all the fluids in my truck (trans, t case, axles) and also in a PSD I got. They both take the same fluids and since this isnt something I do real often I want to put the best oil in there I can. I need atf for the trans (both 6spds) and t cases, 75/90 for the front end and 75/140 for rear.

I was gona go amsoil, but also have been thinking of redline, or schafers (sp?).

I am open to all suggestions I just want the best oil I can get.
TIA

Go to Ams website & look at their g2457.pdf gear oil comparison report that they did a few years ago.

I've had the best luck with RP Maxgear in the diffs and their Synchromax in my 6 spd. I REALLY like the Shafer 15w40 semisyn engine oil and have thought about trying their 75w140 syn but the smallest was 5gal. the last time I checked. Craig

Personally, I run Redline gear oils, and mopar ATF. Any quality GL5 synthetic should provide good protection.

Another vote for MOBIL 1 75w-90 for front and rear diffs. Note: despite what others say, Dodge says 75w-90 for the rear diff. Factory fill was synthetic fluid.

Also, BE CAREFUL what trans fluid you put on your NV5600!!!

There are only a few out there that meet the spec. Pennzoil Synchromesh is one of them, available at Auto Zone and Advanced Auto Parts.

Happy fluid changing!

Amsoil 75w-90 in my 03, running it in the 04.5 and the 97. Works for me.
