Wait to start light and chimes after 6 injectors
Wait to start light and chimes after 6 injectors
I just had 6 injectors replaced at the dealer for an issue involving the idle and rpms hanging up- fuel leaking by the injectos so to speak. After the dealer had it the 1st atempt to fix, I had the wait to start lamp on thedash coming on with 9 chimes. this would happen at highway speed. It would stay on for a while and go off and on again.
Upon returning for the major cost of replacing 6 injectors, the rpm idle problem was solved and the truck is running smooth. I did think there may have been a loss of power, but not really sure.
I researched the alarm and found that its related to 2 codes involving fuel return quantitiy, and theres some info that I'm not clear on that it may be a softwarech with the computer. Now along with the intermitant light and chimes, I get the check engine light coming on for a while too. needless to say I alerted the dealer and they will check it out.
Could it be a software issue related to possibly the dealer flashing the system? A possible issue with the rebuilt injectors or something else? I replaced the FCa prior to bringing it in but never had any alarms ntil after they looked into the poor performance and idele issue and eventual rereplacement of the 6 injectors. supposedly this alarm derates the trucks power, but I'm not sure if it is losing any power, because it runs so much snsmoother and quieter with the new injectors.
Appreciate any thoughts or experience. This truck is stock.
